The name “Kubu” in Bali comes from the Balinese term meaning “simple wooden dwelling” or hut, originally used as a resting place for farmers and workers in the rice fields and forests or for storing work tools.

MONKEY REEF
Coral slope good for spotting some critters. Macro lovers would be enjoying going around after a dive in Boga wreck.
36 meters steel screw motorship used as a patrol Indonesian ship build in Netherland in 1953. It has been sunken in 2012 in front of a newly build resort to create a diver playground and extension of the natural reef. Still standing up the ship is an interesting go through with a something mystical atmosphere.
Kubu reef is a dive accessible for all certified divers where fingers of coral slope meet a fancy artificial reef. A lot of surprises here around from ribbon eels to great barracudas and sometimes eagle rays.
MACRO DIVE: Shrimp – Leaf scorpion fish – Nemo fish – Nudibranchs – Ribbon eels…

SIDDHARTHA HOUSE REEF
The coral reefs of the Kubu region always have something special about them. This mix of artificial and natural reefs is built like a movie. Recently, Buddha statues were submerged to continue its expansion. An impressive creation with its giant gorgonians.
